Above Ground Drainage System selected for Aloft City Centre Deira hotel.
Aloft City Centre Deira is a hotel with a unique proposition and architecture that spans an area of 28,800 sqm. With 304 rooms and a connecting mall, the hotel is complete with a VOX Cinemas outdoor screen and movie-themed rooms, and has been designed to offer a novel experience through the integration of intelligent technologies.
Though push-fit drainage was initially proposed, Lead Consultant, Brewer Smith Brewer Gulf and MEP Consultant, Clarke Samadhin Associates, opted for Terrain’s solvent-weld Above Ground Drainage System. Together they worked with the Main Contractor, Laing O’Rourke and the MEP Contractor, Crown House Technology, to deliver the optimum engineered drainage solution.
Comprehensive and adaptable, the Terrain PVC-u drainage system is renowned for utilising solvent-welded joints for permanent, reliable connections, together with the ability to fully manage and control expansion. Terrain’s unique seal gives the pipe space to move.
Recognising today’s demands for environmentally friendly products in the construction industry, Terrain is manufactured from a lead-free formulation, which means it can be recycled and does not prevent any risk to the environment or to human health. It is also built to perform in the extreme Middle East climate.
