The Centre of Excellence in Smart Construction held its annual symposium on the 16th March 2022 at the Heriot-Watt University campus. In celebration of Heriot-Watt’s bicentennial year, the symposium brought together industry influencers and world-class academics to address the most challenging issues faced by the construction industry.

Among those invited to speak at the event was our Managing Director, Adam Smith. With sustainability forming a core value of Polypipe Middle East, Adam’s presentation was centred around the importance of capturing, filtering and reusing water. He discussed how sustainable water management solutions such as Permavoid can be used for shallow water attenuation and the creation of multifunctional spaces such as green roofs.
