We were thrilled to be a silver sponsor of the MENA Stormwater and Wastewater Forum, held in Abu Dhabi on February 26-27. This event was a pivotal platform for advancing sustainable water management and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors to tackle the growing challenges of stormwater and wastewater in the MENA region.
Our Green Urbanisation Manager, Seher Ansari, captivated the audience with her presentation on the topic of "From Runoff to Resource - Reimagining Stormwater management in the UAE", transforming UAE cities into "Sponge Cities" using innovative stormwater solutions. She highlighted how these solutions can effectively reduce floods and conserve water and shared insights on successful implementations while presenting the latest case study on these innovative approaches.
Seher was enthusiastic about sharing the concept of sponge cities and their potential to revolutionize urban water management. Sponge cities offer a comprehensive approach to water management, creating resilient urban environments with SuDS (sustainable urban drainage systems) that not only mitigate the effects of climate change but also promote sustainable urban development.
